Kentucky State Police are in the home stretch of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign that runs through Monday night. Extra enforcement has been in place since mid-August, but even more attention will be paid starting tomorrow evening through the holiday weekend.

A Pulaski County man died yesterday after falling off a cliff while riding a lawn mower. The incident occurred near Waitsboro Drive, according to LEX18, with emergency management officials saying the man misjudged the area where he was working before falling about 250 feet.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday evening north of London for marijuana usage, credit card fraud, fleeing police, and truancy. Deputies found the boy in the company of 34-year-old Gary Shell, who was also arrested for drug usage as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Both subjects remain in custody.

A Laurel County factory worker was airlifted to UK Hospital yesterday morning after becoming trapped between a forklift and a wall. 35-year-old Walter Garrett had apparently exited the forklift to wrap a pallet at the Laurel Cookie Factory but mistakenly left the vehicle in gear without the emergency brake set, leading to the incident.
